Another "potential" constant companion

So far this year 7929 animals have passed through the intake side of the Memphis Animal Shelter (MEMPHIS ANIMAL SERVICES - KENNEL STATISTICS (2012)). About 70% of these animals have been euthanized and about 24% have had positive outcomes (adopted, placed in no kill shelters, etc).  This number does not take into account all of the animals that are being cared for in private homes, animal hospitals and Vet offices.  It also does not account for those animals that remain wandering the streets of Memphis and all of the animals that remain neglectfully incarcerated in their owner's backyards, cages, garages and homes. For these reasons we decided to select our next "Constant Companion" from the hoard of neglected and abandoned animals in Memphis TN.

Shortly after JD's death we received a call from Glen (TravelLady's brother).  He told us to take a look at the Northgate Animal Hospital's Face book page.  We took a look at the post and then visited the facility.

Toni was not impressed but she was willing to bring him home for an audition.

My new name is Jack Daniels.  I am an American Bulldog with a bit of Bull Mastiff thrown in (this is per my new Vet at the Berryhill Animal Hospital.  I currently weigh 88 pounds (hey I am American and there will be NO METRICS, Get that straight!)  AND I am only 9 months old.  Thanks Toni, TravelLady and The Outsider for a chance!

TravelLady likes me because I match her new rug!!  That's good for me.
