8/12/12 04:30 Our first trip into the backyard...

My Constant Companions want to go outside for their morning "business." It is quiet and cool for an August morning in west Tennessee.
Constant Companions at 04:30

The Moon (waning Crescent) just below and to the left is Jupiter, Aldebaran is to the right of Jupiter.
Venus is the bright spot appearing just above the house.

As I look around the yard I glance back and look over my house to the east and see a beautiful site. The Moon, Jupiter, the star Aldebaran (an orange giant star about 66.7 lightyears from my backyard therefore somewhat outside the scope of this blog) and the planet Venus. This reminds me of:    Psalm 19  " The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.

A Blue Heron fishing in the early morning in our "lake."
