And so it begins.....

Genesis 1:20 ESV And God said, “Let the waters swarm with swarms of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the expanse of the heavens.”

As we took our walks each day (remember the Constant Companions in the previous post!) we began to notice the birds and other critters that we saw in the neighborhood.  We took notes, purchased books, sought out web pages about Tennessee, Memphis, Shelby county and the town of Cordova.  As we traveled with "The Travel Lady" we started expanding our quest to know more about the birds and critters found on our journeys.  It all became too daunting, too much cool stuff to know, too much information to process.  We decided to scale back and start with our backyard and expand from there.  This blog is a way to document our quest to know more about the "swarms of living creaturest" in our backyard and to expand that quest outward. This we will do if the Lord is willing and if my Constant Companions want to walk a bit further.
